TOO vs ENOUGH

Today, we’ll explain the difference between too and enough.

Too:

  • goes before adjectives and adverbs. 
  • has a negative meaning.
  • shows that something is more than enough, more than necessary or more than wanted. 
  • too + adjective/adverb + for someone +  to –infinitive.

 Enough:

  •  goes before nouns but after adjectives or adverbs.
  •  has positive meanings.
  • shows that there is as much of something as is wanted or needed. 
  • Adjective/adverb + enough + for someone +  to –infinitive.
